Meet and Greet on June 29th in the lobby of the Hotel Lou Paradou in small village of Greoux Les Bains
Five full days in southern France photographing the lavender and sunflower fields atop the rich and fertile Valensole Plain and the region of Sault. Visits to the many quaint villages of Provence include Banon, Gréoux Les Bain, Cassis, Roussillon and Gordes. Provence is a landscape photographer’s paradise as we head out each and every morning shortly after sunrise to be greeted by rolling fields of lavender and sunflower. PLUS: Assuming we have clear skies, which is the norm, at least one of our evenings, if not two, will find us shooting the incredible night sky and Milky Way from atop the Valensole Plain. This workshop will allow you to become very familiar with the use of your wide-angle and telephoto lenses and will enable you to practice and grow your compositional vision. This 5 Day Workshop is a “must do” for anyone who has the lavender and sunflower fields on their bucket list!
In addition, I am working to set up a full day of shooting in the Camargue region, one of Europe’s major wetlands and home to the famous Camargue horses and the French cowboys who herd and care for them. These beautiful white horses are one of the oldest breeds in the world and have lived in these wetlands for thousands of years. I am working with my local contact to set up a photo shoot of the horses as they run free in their natural habitat of the salt marshes in the Camargue. IF I am successful in setting up this once-in-a-lifetime photo opportunity, each participating student will pay an extra charge of $200. Similar photo opportunities can run as much as $500-$700 per day in the Camargue and I believe you will think that this will be the best $200 that you’ve ever spent! Just Google ‘wild horses and the Camargue’ and you will get an idea of what you can expect.
Please be aware that Gréoux Les Bains has no train service. If you are not renting a car, I will arrange to pick you up at the airport in Marseille or at the Marseille train station. You just need to provide your arrival information to Lisa or me to arrange pick up.
Workshop fee includes all ground transportation in an air-conditioned over-sized van during the workshop dates.

Since early July is peak season in Provence, we recommend that you book your room as soon as possible for the best availability options.
*You can stay at the hotel or lodging of your choice, but the recommended Hotel is where we will gather for the Meet and Greet and where we will gather before and after photo shoots during the workshop.
