5-DAY WORKSHOP – $2295
MEET AND GREET ON: June 19, 2025 at 7PM in the Wynn’s Hotel (the recommended hotel in Dublin).
Five full days in the verdant, picturesque Ireland & Northern Ireland, where we will focus on city shooting in Dublin and Belfast and seascapes, landscapes and star trails in Northern Ireland.
June 19: Meet and Greet
Upon arrival in Dublin, settle into the city and join the group for an informal welcome session at the *Recommended Hotel in Dublin. The workshop itinerary, photography goals, and tips for the week will be introduced. The day concludes with an initial shoot, capturing the atmospheric views of Dublin’s iconic bridges on the River Liffey during the golden and blue hours.
June 20: On June 20, the day begins with an early morning visit to Trinity College Library to capture the iconic Long Room and its stunning architecture in a quiet setting. Midday brings a scenic journey to Glendalough Valley in County Wicklow, approximately 1.5 hours from Dublin. The afternoon is dedicated to photographing the serene Glendalough Monastic Site and the tranquil Upper Lake, framed by surrounding mountains in the soft afternoon light. The day concludes with an overnight stay near Glendalough.
June 21: On the morning of June 21, the day begins with an early morning shoot at the Dark Hedges, capturing the iconic beech tree-lined avenue at sunrise. Later, travel to Kinbane Castle to photograph the castle overlooking the ocean with longer exposures, followed by an afternoon visit to the Giant’s Causeway, where we’ll shoot the unique rock formations during sunset and into the blue hour. The day ends with an overnight stay near the Northern Coast.
On June 22: The morning starts with a sunrise shoot at Dunluce Castle, perched dramatically on the cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Afterward, we travel to Donegal, possibly stopping by an abandoned Irish church along the way. In the afternoon, we scout the Errigal region for sunset shots and photograph Dunlewey Church ruins against the backdrop of Errigal Mountain, followed by capturing the rugged landscape around Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The evening concludes with an overnight stay in Donegal
On June 23: We begin the day with a visit to Ardara, a charming village known for its picturesque views of the countryside and coastline, capturing the colorful streets and vibrant Irish heritage. Afterward, we travel to County Roscommon, where we’ll photograph the scenic Castle Island at Lough Key, capturing the castle ruins surrounded by tranquil waters during sunset. The day concludes with an overnight stay in County Roscommon.
The last full day is June 24: We travel to Glendalough Valley, but before we arrive we shall stop en-route and visit Ballynafagh Church for unique photo opportunities as it’s a picturesque ruins. Afterward, we continue to Glendalough, shooting the serene valley and historic monastic ruins, followed by tranquil lake shots at Glendalough Upper Lake. In the evening, we return to Dublin for a final meal and celebration of our photography trip, ending with an overnight stay in Dublin.
June 25: End of workshop: Depart from Dublin. Depending on your time, you can explore any final locations in Dublin or enjoy a free day.

NOTE(s):
- Workshop fees include all ground transportation during the workshop.
- Students are responsible for making a reservation for their own accommodations in Dublin for the evening of June 19. Don’t forget to make arrangements for accommodations in Dublin for the evening of June 24, as well, if you plan to stay in Dublin after the workshop ends.
- We have already booked accommodations for all students for the nights of June 20-23. Upon check-in at these accommodations, students will present their own credit card and pay for their rooms at that time.
- Students will be responsible for arranging and paying for flights to and from the workshop.
We will have a Meet and Greet on June 19 at 7 PM in the lobby of the below-recommended Hotel in Dublin where we discuss your goals and objectives, and James will provide an overview and rough agenda for the workshop.
