Six-Day Workshop $1595.00
July 17-22, 2019
Meet and greet July 16th, 7pm
Priced at a 5-day workshop, I’ve thrown in a sixth day for FREE as a BONUS for our INAUGURAL IRELAND WORKSHOP! Six full days in Ireland, where we will focus on city shooting in Dublin, and shoot numerous seascapes & landscapes up the coast (and hopefully star-trails!). The goal is to get you slightly “off the beaten track”, taking you away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, into a landscape that is amongst the most scenic in Ireland.
*Meet and greet July 16th at 7:00 PM in Dublin at the Wynn’s Hotel Dublin – https://www.wynnshotel.ie/ hotel lobby. Our tentative plan, (not set in stone as the weather predicts our photography routes!) is to shoot Dublin in early morning light & enjoy lunch in Dublin. After lunch we’ll begin driving to the coast! Please see itinerary below.
Workshop conducted July 17-22. Ending July 22 at 5pm back in Dublin.
Workshop fee does include all ground transportation in an air-conditioned over-sized van during the workshop dates, July 17 through July 22. Hotels & airfare are NOT included.
Participants must make their own hotel reservations and cost of the hotel is not included in the workshop fee.
*You can stay at any hotel of your choosing, but this is where you will meet up, July 16th at 7pm for the meet and greet.

Day 2 | July 18 | Connemara – Inagh Valley (Connemara Loop) – Leenaun – Aasleagh Falls –
We explore one of the most pristine and beautiful parts of Ireland, the very west of County Galway. This is the land where people still speak “as gaeilage” or, “in Irish”. So, it will be thrilling to hear them speaking it, with its arresting lilt. The magnificent scenery of lakes, hills, villages and coastline encompass this wild and exciting region, and all of it ready and waiting for us to discover. Here we will start driving and stopping through boggy roads around Inagh valley. We’ll take spectacular shots of Inagh Lake, Leenaun village, Aasleagh Falls, and the only Irish Killary fjord, one of only three glacial fjords in Ireland. We’ll be amazed with the constant light changing in this part of Ireland and its breathtaking scenery.
Delphi Valley Hotel: Delphi Resort – https://www.delphiadventureresort.com/
Day 3 | July 19 | Kylemore Abbey – Clifden – Roundstone
We start with a short walk up around Delphi valley, just to gain some elevation to take some early morning pictures of the surrounding landscape. After some stream and mountain shots we head back for a drive towards Kylemore Abbey where we can stop for nice reflections of the abbey on the lake. Next we drive to Clifden, this is the largest village and the capital of Connemara. Here we can enjoy this pretty place and have some lunch. A nice walk around to take some pictures of its colorful streets, bay and pier. Following that, we’ll do a special driving tour through a narrow and bumpy bog road full of Irish sheep and small lakes with great views of the famous Twelve Bens mountain range of Connemara. The lovely fishing village of Roundstone is our next photo opportunity. There are stunning views to take of the pretty village and pier with the huge Twelve Bens mountains in the background. After perhaps a seafood dinner and photos in the village, we’ll drive our way to Sligo for the night.

Day 4 | July 20 | County Donegal

A stronghold of the Irish language, it was recently voted by National Geographic traveler magazine as the coolest place to visit. Putting the “Wild” in Ireland’s “Wild Atlantic Way”, it’s wild valleys, hidden coves and dramatic coastline, make it the perfect playground for landscape photographers.
