Ten-Day Workshop $3995.00
Meet and greet on Feb 3rd at 7pm
4 students maximum
This is a repeat of the sold out 2017 Myanmar workshop and I am offering it twice in 2018. The first offering is here in February and if you scroll down near the end of the workshop listings you find it being offered again in November.
Myanmar is well on its way to becoming the must see destination of Southeast Asia. Much like undiscovered Iceland of just 10 years ago, Myanmar is a true photographic feast with images to be taken at most every turn in the road;; hundreds of temples, people from all walks of life, the colorful markets, mountains, rice fields, brightly dressed monks, and smiles are everywhere. We will travel through Myanmar by plane, tuk-tuk or hired car depending on the location and the destination and much like India, we will travel towards the best possible shooting opportunities. Over the course of these ten amazing days, all four of the students will easily shoot 30 to 40 GB’s of images every day. Just like India, Myanmar is also just as colorful and incredible!
You will fly into Yangon, (formally Rangoon, Burma) where we will spend our first two days and it is here where we will have our initial meet and greet, February 3rd, Saturday evening at 7pm, in the lobby of the Best Western Chinatown Hotel.
You need to book your room at the Best Western Chinatown Hotel in Yangon for three nights, Feb 3rd, 4th and 5th. We will fly out the morning of Feb 6th to Nyaung-U, (Old Bangon area) where we will lodge for four nights, Feb 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th. The morning of the 10th we will check out and take a slow drive in our A/C Van from Bangon to Mandelay, arriving in Mandelay late in the afternoon where we will check into our hotel for the next four nights, Feb 10th, 11th,12th and 13th where we will have a final farwell dinner on the evening of the 13th. The next day you are free to fly from Mandelay to Yangon where you can then pick up your return flight home or make other plans of course.
If you’ve wanted to explore the once hidden and beautiful country of Myanmar and its many temples and its beautiful and colorful people, and in a teaching environment that is almost one on one, then this is your workshop.
All ground transportation, (private car or via tuks-tuks) is included in the workshop fee but you are responsible for your hotel and food costs as well as the RT airfare costs from Yangon to Nyanung-U and back to Yangon.
