Meet and greet September 11th at 7pm

  • This is a repeat of the sold out Bhutan workshop in 2014 & 2016 & 2018. You asked for it, you got it! Come join me with Bhutan photographer, Ugyen Wangchuck, as we take you on a magnificent journey across the Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan during this most refreshing month of September. We will photograph the sacred temples and monasteries, festive events, incredible landscapes and vistas, the very charismatic people of Bhutan and gigantic fortresses a.k.a. Dzongs- all scattered amongst the lush Himalayan environment that feels as if you are lost in time! This is truly a unique opportunity for any photographer who has ever longed to shoot in Bhutan where you will see and experience first hand the famous Tigers Nest Monestary. It is here in Bhutan, where the sun shines as bright as the smiles on everyone’s faces. Bhutan proudly claims that HAPPINESS is their number one export!Ugyen Wangchuck is the only official photographer of Bhutan and is able to gain access to just about any location throughout the country. All workshop participants will meet me on the evening of September 11th at 7pm in the lobby of the Bangkok Airport Novotel Hotel for the “meet and greet”. The following morning everyone will fly out of Bangkok to Paro, Bhutan on Druk Airlines, where we will be greeted by Ugyen and whisked away in an air conditioned mini-bus to Wangdue, passing over Dochula pass. On our way to the Eco Village Lodge in the community of Nyshigaykha, we will stop for some shooting at Tagcho Temple, Simtokha Dzong and Dochula. That evening, over dinner, we will discuss a more specific shooting plan for the next six days since it will be dictated in part by the most favorable weather conditions. We will all fly out of Bangkok the morning of September 12th at 6:50 AM, arriving Paro, Bhutan at 10:20am and unless you tell me you wish to make other plans, we will all be departing Paro back to Bangkok at 11:25am on September 19.The cost of this RT ticket, ($680.00) to and from Paro Bhutan, is included in the workshop fee of $4,295.00 .*The Bhutan workshop fee DOES INCLUDE your meals, all ground transportation, and your hotel room in Bhutan for seven nights, September 12th through September 19th.
